Yogyakarta–The comparative study activity between the Javanese Language, Literature and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and the Balinese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Universitas Udayana (UNUD), was successfully carried out. The event was held on Wednesday, 8 March 2023 at the 7th floor of the Soegondo Auditorium with an atmosphere full of togetherness.

This comparative study activity opened with the performance of the Pudyastuti Dance performed by UGM Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture students. The next performance is Gita Pangendag Budhi Citta presented by UNUD Bali Literature students.

After the lively opening, the event continued with a material presentation session. In contrast to public lectures or seminars, speakers come from the students themselves. UNUD Balinese Literature students and UGM Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture students took turns presenting the material that had been prepared beforehand.

After the speaker finished explaining everything, the event continued with the opening of the question and answer session. In this session, the participants who attended showed high enthusiasm with the many questions asked in the question and answer session. These questions illustrated the participants' interest and curiosity in understanding more deeply the literature and culture of the two regions.

The Joged dance presented by UNUD Balinese Literature students was able to lighten the atmosphere of the event and was followed by the awarding of certificates from each university. The comparative study activity ended with taking a group photo as proof of togetherness and the relationship that exists.

This comparative study activity aims to strengthen relations between the Bali Literature Study Program Student Association UNUD and the UGM Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture UGM Student Association. Through this activity, it is hoped that closer relations will be established between the two study programs and  universities, as well as increase participants' understanding and insight into regional literature and culture, especially Javanese culture and Balinese culture.
