On Monday (09/18/2023), students of the Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University (FIB UGM), conducted a Field Trip in the context of the Seminar Course (Philological, Linguistic, and Literary) to the Balinese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University (FIB UNUD). This event was held in the Ir. Soekarno Room, FIB UNUD, from morning to afternoon. The field trip was attended by 22 students from the 2020 class and was accompanied by four supervising lecturers, namely Dr. Daru Winarti, M.Hum., Dr. Arsanti Wulandari, M.Hum., R. Bima Slamet Raharja, S.S., M.Hum., and Imam Prakoso, S.S., M.A.

The activity consisted of material presentation and discussion sessions. The presentation of the material was delivered by students with a focus on philology, linguistics, and literature, by comparing Javanese-Balinese manuscripts and cultures. The implementation of the discussion session which was attended by students made the presentation of the material interactive.

The discussion session for lecturers from the Balinese Literature Study Program, FIB UNUD, and the Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture Study Program, FIB UGM, took place in the FIB UNUD Professor's Room with the main topic of discussion being cooperation between the two parties.

In addition to discussing the material, students from the UGM Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture Study Program also had the opportunity to participate in a lontar writing workshop. This workshop aimed to increase students' interest and enthusiasm in learning Balinese script.

This Field Trip is expected to strengthen the relationship between the two study programs. Moreover, it is hoped that this visit will become an important moment to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, especially in terms of Javanese-Balinese literature and culture.
