  • 2nd place in the Cultural Documentary Video Competition (Bima Muslih Wicaksono as chairman, and two members namely Adjit Royan Mustafa Ganda Sukma and Idharul Huda)

(Reception of 1st Runner-Up of the Putra Putri IMBASADI Championship)

(Reception of 2nd Runner-Up of the Putra Putri IMBASADI Championship)

The Cultural Documentary Video Competition which won the prize raised the theme of the tradition of carving leather puppets. Carving wayang is the process of sculpting certain wayang objects. The tradition of carving wayang has been passed down from generation to generation until today. However, the number of puppet masters is decreasing day by day, so a Cultural Documentary Video is made as a medium to document and introduce the tradition of carving wayang to the public, especially to the younger generation.

Furthermore, the championships that were won were Runner-up 2 Putra IMBASADI and Runner-up 1 Putri IMBASADI. The rigorous selection process started with deep interviews and stage-by-stage selection, starting from the top 5 to the top 3. All participants went through the process well and with confidence. Kintan Dewinta Putri is partnered with Ketut Teguh Virgiawan from the Ganesha University of Education delegation, while Bima Muslih Wicaksono is paired with Luh Putu Dian Tristyanti who is also a delegate from the Ganesha University of Education.

In an interview with one of the delegates, Kintan Dewinta Putri stated “I feel proud to be able to participate in the 10th Nusantara IMBASADI Workshop. I am also happy because I have the opportunity to add insight into regional culture and literature and make friends from various universities in Indonesia.”

With events such as the Imbasadi Nusantara Workshop, it is hoped that more and more students will be interested in studying, appreciating, and preserving the rich culture and traditions in Indonesia.

Thank you to all parties who have participated in the success of this event, including the organizers, participants, and other supporters. We hope that IMBASADI can always accommodate students majoring in regional literature throughout Indonesia in exploring, developing, and preserving Indonesian culture.

The Temu Budaya Nusantara 2022 event carried the theme "Local Culture Actualization and the Role of Youth," emphasizing the role of young generations in preserving and perpetuating culture and traditions amid the current wave of globalization.

During the Temu Budaya Nusantara 2022 event at USU, eight different competitions were organized, including National Traditional Dance Competition, National Scientific Paper Competition, Comic Strip Competition, Poetry Creation and Reading Competition, Cultural Documentary Competition, National TikTok Competition, National Essay Competition, and Podcast Competition.

The Javanese Literature Program at UGM sent a delegation consisting of Vighna Rivattyannur Hernawan (class of 2020) as the delegation leader, Nurma Aisyah (class of 2021), Bima Muslih Wicaksono (class of 2022), Nanda Fitri Riyantika (class of 2022), Muhammad Siswoyo (class of 2022), and Wening Hidayati (class of 2022).

  1. 1st Place in the National Scientific Paper Competition Vighna Rivattyannur Hernawan as the team leader and Nurma Aisyah as a member of the delegation secured the 1st place title in the National Scientific Paper Competition. Their scientific paper was titled "Baita Adi: Actualizing Nusantara Culture Through the Transformation of Text into Batik as a Shield Against the Massiveness of Global Developments (A Cultural Study)." This scientific paper emphasized the Baita Adi batik as the material object, where the motifs of the batik are derived from the transformation of the Sestra Ageng Adidarma text. It explored the perspective, role, and challenges of Baita Adi Batik in the context of global development.
  2. 2nd Place in the Cultural Documentary Competition Bima Muslih Wicaksono achieved the 2nd place title in the Cultural Documentary Competition. His cultural documentary video focused on the traditional art of batik tulis, a process in which motifs are hand-drawn onto fabric using wax. Through the hands of skilled artisans, this intricate and philosophically rich form of batik continues to thrive amidst the mass production of machine-made batik.
  3. 2nd Place in the National Essay Competition Muhammad Siswoyo earned the 2nd place title in the National Essay Competition with his essay titled "Karsa IMBASADI: Creation and Cultural Innovation as Efforts to Preserve Cross-Generational Traditional Values in the Modernization Era." The winning National Scientific Paper Competition, titled "Tabloid Carakita: Javanese Script across Languages as an Implementation of Cultural Harmony (A Sociolinguistic Study)," focused on Tabloid Carakita as a material object that can contribute to the preservation of Javanese script in the millennial era.
