On Monday, May 4, 2020, the Javanese Literature Study Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada collaborated with the Bali Literature Study Program of Universitas Udayana to hold a public lecture entitled "UNUD-UGM Webinar Public Lecture". The public lecture, which was held online through Cisco Webex software, presented Sugi Lanus as the speaker. He is a researcher of lontar manuscripts as well as the founder of the Hanacaraka Society. This webinar public lecture was moderated by I Gede Gita Purnama as a lecturer in Balinese Literature at UNUD. The theme raised was "Majapahit Literary Works: Examining Kawi Literary Works with Time Settings and Events Around the Majapahit Kingdom".
The webinar public lecture was attended by students and lecturers from Javanese Literature UGM, students and lecturers from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UNUD, and lovers of Kawi literary works. The activity was opened with remarks from the Head of the Bali Literature Study Program at Universitas Udayana then continued with material presentation and questions and answers. The webinar activity took place from 02.00 PM - 05.00 PM WIB with great enthusiasm by the participants.
The implementation of this public lecture is expected to be able to strengthen the relationship between the two study programs and can provide new knowledge about Kawi's Literary Works. The well-organized public lecture was a form of activity to fill time during the Covid-19 pandemic and a form of facilitation for Javanese Literature students from UGM and Balinese Literature students from UNUD in terms of knowledge about the Majapahit era's literary works.
