Mahasiswa Inspirasi : Kintan Dewinta Putri as Runner-Up 1 Putri IMBASADI 2023-2024

College Student Friday, 22 September 2023

(Kintan Dewinta Putri paired with Ketut Teguh Virgiawan (UNDIKSA) as the 1st runner-up winner for Putra Putri IMBASADI 2023-2024)

Kintan Dewinta Putri, a student of the Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) class of 2022, won the 1st runner-up position for Putri Imbasadi in the X Archipelago Workshop which was held at Semarang State University (UNNES). This year, the UGM delegation sent Bima Muslih Wicaksono and Kintan Dewinta Putri as participants for Putra Putri Imbasadi.

Becoming a Putra Putri IMBASADI doesn't just rely on a charming appearance. Participants are required to have intelligence and a vision and mission in learning and promoting Indonesian regional culture and languages.

The first stage in this competition was to complete the assigned tasks, including writing an essay on opinions on the theme of the IMBASADI Sarasehan Nusantara, namely Pusparagam of Indonesian traditions. Apart from that, they also have to make public speaking videos about vision and mission, motivation, and give short orations. Apart from that, Putra Putri IMBASADI participants also have to collaborate to showcase their interests and talents in one video.

(Putra Putri IMBASADI's Interview)

The second stage is in-depth interviews related to the Putra Putri IMBASADI participants themselves. Kintan revealed, "The questions asked in the interview were more like case studies and related to how to deal with problems and the personality of each participant.

(Putra Putri IMBASADI Parade 2023-2024)

Furthermore, the top 5 were selected through the Putra Putri IMBASADI parade on Wednesday, 31 May 2023. In the preliminary stage to become the top 3, all prospective Putra Putri IMBASADI must answer questions drawn randomly.

After that, to determine who will become the Putra Putri of IMBASADI, the top three participants are required to answer questions in English which then ends with the awarding of the title Putra Putri of IMBASADI 2023-2024 to the best participants.

Even though IMBASADI's 2023-2024 Putra Putri have been determined, all sons and daughters of IMBASADI, both those with runner-up titles or participants who have not been selected, will still contribute to introducing local culture and languages in Indonesia.

Referring to the work program of the Putra Putri of IMBASADI, Kintan explained "Based on the work program of IMBASADI that I know, later the Sons and Daughters of IMBASADI will be involved in teaching activities. However, there has been no further discussion regarding the place. In addition, the Putra Putri of IMBASADI have a responsibility to contribute deeper to the IMBASADI community, such as preserving culture and arts in their respective regions,"

Kintan also shared his plans for the future, "My initial plan was to introduce IMBASADI to fellow students, including juniors. Apart from that, I will also try to be a role model in art and culture."

For Kintan, winning the 1st runner-up position for Putri IMBASADI is like a gift. "Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful for my achievement as runner-up 1 of Putri IMBASADI. I did not expect it because I feel that the effort has not been as optimal as I expected," said Kintan.

"I also feel proud to be able to participate in the 10th IMBASADI Sarasehan Nusantara. I am happy to have the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of regional culture and literature and establish friendships with students from various universities in Indonesia," she added.

UGM Javanese Language, Literathure, and Culture Students Wmon Tree Prestigious Championships at the IMBASADI X Sarasehan Nusantara

College StudentNewsSDGSStudentStudent's ActivityStudent's Work Wednesday, 20 September 2023

Semarang - The 10th Imbasadi Nusantara Workshop was successfully held at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) from 30 May to 1 June 2023. This prestigious activity carries the theme Pusparagam Tradition of the Archipelago, which reflects the diversity of traditions and culture in Indonesia by emphasizing efforts to preserve cultural wealth and these traditions. The event which lasted for three days was closed with the selection of the Sons and Daughters of Imbasadi 2023 and the Awarding Night as the highlight on May 31, 2023.

The 10th Imbasadi Nusantara Workshop which was held at UNNES in 2023 presented six kinds of competitions, including the National Scientific Writing Contest, National Typography Contest, Regional Pop Song Contest, Cultural Poster Contest, Cultural Documentary Video Contest, and Imbasadi 2023 Son and Daughter Selection Competition.

The Javanese Language, Literature, and Culture Delegation from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) also participated in this activity by participating in all competitions. The UGM delegation consists of Idharul Huda (class of 2021) as the head of the delegation, Adjit Royan Mustafa Ganda Sukma (class of 2021), Nurma Aisyah (class of 2021), Nanda Nursa Alya (class of 2021), Bima Muslih Wicaksono (class of 2022), Haryo Untoro (class of 2022), Kintan Dewinta Putri (class of 2022), and Muhammad Siswoyo (class of 2022) participated in the event which was held in Semarang.

The UGM delegation won brilliant achievements in several competitions, including:

  • 2nd place in the Cultural Documentary Video Competition (Bima Muslih Wicaksono as chairman, and two members namely Adjit Royan Mustafa Ganda Sukma and Idharul Huda)
  • Runner-up 1 Putri IMBASADI 2022 (Kintan Dewinta Putri)
  • Runner-up 2 Putra IMBASADI 2022 (Bima Muslih Wicaksono)

(Cultural Video Documentary Championship Acceptance)

(Reception of 1st Runner-Up of the Putra Putri IMBASADI Championship)

(Reception of 2nd Runner-Up of the Putra Putri IMBASADI Championship)

The Cultural Documentary Video Competition which won the prize raised the theme of the tradition of carving leather puppets. Carving wayang is the process of sculpting certain wayang objects. The tradition of carving wayang has been passed down from generation to generation until today. However, the number of puppet masters is decreasing day by day, so a Cultural Documentary Video is made as a medium to document and introduce the tradition of carving wayang to the public, especially to the younger generation.

Furthermore, the championships that were won were Runner-up 2 Putra IMBASADI and Runner-up 1 Putri IMBASADI. The rigorous selection process started with deep interviews and stage-by-stage selection, starting from the top 5 to the top 3. All participants went through the process well and with confidence. Kintan Dewinta Putri is partnered with Ketut Teguh Virgiawan from the Ganesha University of Education delegation, while Bima Muslih Wicaksono is paired with Luh Putu Dian Tristyanti who is also a delegate from the Ganesha University of Education.

In an interview with one of the delegates, Kintan Dewinta Putri stated “I feel proud to be able to participate in the 10th Nusantara IMBASADI Workshop. I am also happy because I have the opportunity to add insight into regional culture and literature and make friends from various universities in Indonesia.”

With events such as the Imbasadi Nusantara Workshop, it is hoped that more and more students will be interested in studying, appreciating, and preserving the rich culture and traditions in Indonesia.

Thank you to all parties who have participated in the success of this event, including the organizers, participants, and other supporters. We hope that IMBASADI can always accommodate students majoring in regional literature throughout Indonesia in exploring, developing, and preserving Indonesian culture.

Indonesia is diverse, and IMBASADI unites

Yogyakarta (22/03/2023) – Students of the Javanese Language, Literature and Culture Study Program from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) held field lectures in three different places. As a form of appreciation, the Sonobudoyo Museum Unit II gave awards in the form of books to the six students who asked.

After a visit to the Sonobudoyo Museum Unit II, the students continued their journey to the second location, namely the Cultural Preservation Agency (BPK) region X. There, the participants received teaching about the various manuscripts that were stored along with their catalogs.

Participants were also given instruction on sundries of manuscripts and procedures for treating manuscripts. In between explanations, the field lecture participants were shown various illuminated manuscripts and other collections owned by the Kadipaten Pakualaman Library.

With this field lecture, it is hoped that students can increase their knowledge and experience regarding manuscripts and manuscript catalogs. Through direct visits to these places, students can better understand the practice and process of managing manuscripts and see first hand valuable collections in the fields of Javanese language, literature and culture. It is hoped that this will make a positive contribution to scientific development and student understanding in this field.
